KnockanStockan partner with
Pieta House on ‘Reflections’ Art Installation
KnockanStockan are creating an interactive art installation at this year’s festival to raise mental health awareness and help prevent suicide and self harm.
This installation will be named ‘Reflections’ as an artistic representation of how we are all connected, how each person we meet is a reflection of ourselves, how many of us are silently dealing with the same issues and how we can all do more to help one another. How the smallest gesture can make a difference.
This wall of reflection is interactive as guests reflect and show gratitude for things in their life that have helped them and given them strength, hope and happiness.
A selection of these messages will be chosen at random by illustrators and artists who will create a live art piece that will develop over the weekend. The remaining messages will be offered to the wishing tree for the faeries.
From the quiet reflection of this art we hope to create action in others to help those around them and to not be afraid to seek help when they need it.
In order to sustain our beautiful festival, pay artists and give back to the community we have introduced a basic drinks policy to keep her lit!
While there is a limit to the quantity of alcohol that can be brought on site, you can roam freely with your alcohol anywhere in the festival grounds.
Each person can bring:
Arriving on Friday & Saturday:
1 x Crate of Beer (24 Cans)
1 x Bottle of Liquor or 2 Bottles of Wine (decanted as NO Glass on site)
Re-entry with alcohol is permitted from 10:30-14:00
(hop on the shuttle bus and stock up in Blessington)
