Fresh Musical Meat: Delightful & Dark with the Essential Earthy Parts

KnockanStockan loves nothing more than finding a new musical flower, seeing it blossom from the stage and watching KS Fans in rapture with their new musical discovery.
Here’s some fresh musical meat for KnockanStockan Fans to feast their ears on next weekend!

Topso (Dublin)

For a new musical project, there are some familiar faces and voices in Topso. KS fans might recognise core members of this band from the much loved Barley Mob, a KnockanStockan favourite who left the scene a few years back. Topso certainly have reggae at their core but this is a very new sound for this talented bunch; melodically & rhythmically adventurous with a strong groove element. Quite stomping, very catchy! Listen HERE

You’ll catch them on Friday on The Unfiltered Stage at 23:00!

Friday Early Entry Ticket needed for this sweet slot.

Mike Paterson (Cavan)

Mike Paterson is an emerging gift to Ireland’s music scene. His very stripped back natural sound is beautiful and elemental but full with ornate layers of all the essential parts. A true folk artist, Paterson’s music tells a story with a distinctive voice of great depth which is often layered to choral density. This vocal driven music is natural and very real, always steadily progressing over a pulse like beat. Listen HERE

He’ll be playing on Friday at 20:00 on The Unfiltered Stage! Make sure to bag yourself a Friday Early Entry Ticket!

SENU (Dublin)

SENU is the latest project from Sam Killeen, an electronic artist known previously for his work with Akora, Loah, Laoise and many more. The release of his debut single ‘Suffocating’ is delightfully dark and trippy but massively illuminated with jazzy textures, thick baselines and alt hip-hop elements that remind of Southern groups like Spank Rock.

SENU will be rocking the Unfiltered stage at 21:30 Saturday!

Oscar Mild (Galway)

Having released their debut single ‘Sit Right’ Oscar Mild are a very new sound that is folk at its core with a gentle earthy energy. This music is rich in musical imagery with cinematic allure that at parts hints at at a feminine dream sequence developing with masculine energy to an epic road trip. Listen HERE

You’ll catch them in the Faerie Field on Sunday at 13:30! Boom

TICKETS are still available! Don’t forget your Friday Early Entry!

Peace & Love,

KS Crew
