The New Social

Having formed in Castlebar a little over a year ago, ‘The New Social’ quickly began building a name for themselves having performed at last years Electric Picnic after coming runner up in the King Kong Club. This year has been no exception either. Having caught the attention of Independent Record Label ‘Live Loud Music’ the band recently expanded to a five piece and now have their debut EP set to begin recording in the coming weeks.

To date they have opened for Ryan Sheridan, The Riptide Movement and most recently had a headline sell out show in ‘Bello Bar’ Dublin. Songs with catchy lyrics and musically influenced by different styles they even have a song co-written with Cian Morrin from ‘Hometown’ which has been going down a storm at gigs.

“Vibes of REM and early U2 in the mix, front man Niall Fahey is the focal point of the group and has great leadership qualities” – Musicwand
