Blessington lakes Co Wicklow | Friday 22nd – Sunday 24th July 2016
This year at family camping we have a fun packed schedule for children. We will have story telling with the amazing Candlelit Tales. . .
Bubble Trouble will be showering us with the most wonderful bubbles and maybe a bit of trouble… . .
Fashion designer Caoimhe Grant will be doing a mad hatter hat making workshop. There will also be many other fun workshops for the children to explore and experience such as instrument making and teepee building.
Ever heard of ‘Forest School’?
The philosophy of forest school is to encourage individuals of any age to enjoy and connect with the natural world through positive, on-going outdoor experiences. Come find out more about this growing movement in Ireland.
Lucy O’Hagan runs Phoenix Forest school in the Phoenix Park, Dublin. She’ll be joining us to share some of her favourite forest school activities. This won’t be your typical forest school session- but this is no typical weekend!
Join Lucy and explore the festival site in a different way, through the eyes of a beetle or under the wing of a bird. We will be exploring and engaging with nature through woodland crafts, nature games, environmental art and play!
There may even be a marshmallow in it for you…
This 2 hour workshop for 6 – 12 year olds will give you and the kids a green window into another holistic, playful world of learning.
